VINLY WRAPS
OVERVIEW
Vinyl wrap is a plastic moulding, which is thin and has adhesive on its back and it is used to wrap numerous wrapping applications. It has various shades, textures and finishes, which include matte, gloss, satin, carbon fibre and metallic, among others. The wrapping technique involves covering with this material to conceal its original colour for branding purposes or protection against wear and tear. The prints are easy to apply or remove making them ideal when looking to achieve either a temporary or a permanent effect.
There are many benefits associated with vinyl wraps. Firstly, it is a much cheaper solution to painting and easy to apply when a change is needed on any object. The cover plastered on the object’s surface also acts as a veneer shield against rough handling, solar exposure and other forms of abrasion, thus increasing the life span of the object’s surface. Similarly, for cars with vinyl covers, the original structure does not need to be painted, so there is no need for long-term alterations. This range of coverage is simple to make and maintain; only the damaged parts are exchanged when a tear occurs, thus minimizing the time needed.
